BriCargo Group coordinates shipping from Canada to Nigeria for commercial cargo, pallets, full containers and vehicles. Options include air freight, shared-container shipping (LCL), full-container shipping (FCL) in 20-foot and 40-foot containers, and roll-on/roll-off (RoRo) or containerized vehicle shipping. The route and cargo acceptance are confirmed for each shipment. We also consider household goods, boxes, barrels and other personal cargo.
Pickup or receiving can be arranged across Canada, with customs coordination and onward delivery in Nigeria through destination partners. Send your cargo details, pickup location and Nigerian delivery address so we can confirm a suitable service and quote scope.
Enter the Canadian origin, Nigerian destination and cargo description. In Comments, add packed dimensions and weight with units, plus your cargo-ready date. For a vehicle request or help choosing a method, write “vehicle” or “not sure” and include the relevant details. Attach a packing list or cargo photos if available.
Choose the mode around your packed cargo, arrival deadline and delivery requirements. Compare the complete journey to the same Nigerian address or collection point.
| Option | When to consider it | What shapes the quote |

| OptionAir freight | When to consider itUrgent or time-sensitive freight that an airline can accept. | What shapes the quotePacked weight and dimensions, chargeable weight, handling and flight availability. |
| OptionLCL ocean freight | When to consider itSmaller sea-freight shipments sharing container space. | What shapes the quoteVolume or weight basis, minimum charges, consolidation and destination handling. |
| OptionFCL ocean freight | When to consider itA dedicated container for larger loads or cargo needing its own container. | What shapes the quoteContainer size, payload, loading, inland transport and equipment availability. |
For air freight, chargeable weight is generally the greater of gross weight and volumetric weight calculated from the packed dimensions. Confirm the calculation and any minimum charge in the quote. Airline acceptance, connection options and destination release all affect the plan; a flight schedule alone is not a delivery estimate.
LCL means less than container load. It can suit a few commercial pallets when sea freight fits your schedule. Cargo is grouped for export and separated at destination. Non-stackable pallets may incur extra charges; declare their handling needs before booking.
FCL means full container load: a container is allocated to your shipment. BriCargo can arrange 20-foot and 40-foot ocean freight options. A container does not need to be completely full for FCL to be worth comparing. Check loading access, cargo weight and the total destination cost. Our LCL vs FCL guide explains the trade-offs without a universal volume cutoff.
For Toronto-to-Lagos freight, the first question is how the cargo will move from your premises to the consignee. A warehouse collection in the GTA and delivery to a Lagos business require a different service scope from warehouse-to-port freight. The same planning applies to pickups elsewhere in Canada.
Include these details in the quote form’s comments or an attached packing list:
For LCL, ask where cargo is consolidated, whether pallets remain intact and who handles release after deconsolidation in Nigeria. Identify the Nigerian importer and clearing-agent arrangements before dispatch. If the receiver will collect, confirm the collection location and release requirements. Use the CBM calculator for packed volume and the air freight chargeable weight guide when comparing an air option.
For an early budget, published Canada-to-Lagos air-cargo examples are around CAD13–15 per kg. One indicative Montreal-to-Lagos 20-foot container listing is about USD2,300 in base ocean freight, while published car/SUV ocean-shipping examples show USD1,500–1,610 in base charges. These examples cover different services and are not complete delivery costs.
Public price examples checked on 2 October 2026. They are market references, not BriCargo tariffs, industry averages or guaranteed quotes. Cargo acceptance, packed dimensions, minimum charges, service inclusions and departure date can change the amount payable.

Confirm the actual RoRo or container method; loading, Canadian inland transport, Nigerian clearance and delivery can add to the total. |
| Shipment exampleCommercial LCL pallets or 40-foot FCL | Approximate published priceShipment-specific quote | What the figure coversLCL needs packed volume, weight, stackability and destination handling. A 40-foot quote needs the gateway pair, equipment, loading plan and cargo-ready date; the 20-foot example cannot price either shipment. |
Air-cargo budget example: if an accepted shipment is billed at 100 kg using CAD13–15/kg, its weight-based charge would be about CAD1,300–1,500, before additional charges. This is an arithmetic example, not a BriCargo quotation. Bulky cargo can be billed at a higher volumetric weight; confirm the weight basis and minimum with the provider.
Compare the total to the same Nigerian address. Use the breakdown below to identify every included service, exclusion and amount payable locally. Duties and taxes, cargo insurance, inspection, storage and final delivery are not established by the example figures above.

Check the currency, exchange-rate basis where relevant, quote expiry, inclusions and exclusions. For commercial sales, include the agreed Incoterm, version and named place alongside the freight-service endpoints. Ask which amounts are confirmed, which are estimates and what the receiver must pay locally. Carrier liability and cargo insurance are different; request the coverage terms if you want insurance.
Our duties and taxes guide explains why import charges need separate attention. For container delay costs, see demurrage vs detention and confirm the applicable free time and tariff in your quote.
Price-example basis: published air rates from Foon Chaser and Zubion Cargo; an indicative Globy Montreal–Lagos container listing; and vehicle figures published by CargoNaija and Zubion Cargo. These sources verify the examples; BriCargo confirms its own shipment price in your written quote.
A useful Canada-to-Nigeria transit estimate starts and ends at named points. Tell us when the cargo will be ready and when the receiver needs it, then ask for an estimated pickup-to-delivery window alongside the main transport schedule.
LCL may involve waiting for consolidation; air freight still requires handling and clearance. Ask whether an estimate uses business or calendar days and what could change it. Review the international shipping process before setting a receiving deadline.
BriCargo arranges RoRo and containerized vehicle shipping from Canada to Nigeria. The suitable option depends on the vehicle, import eligibility, carrier acceptance and the available routing. Confirm the departure port, Nigerian discharge terminal and any inland transfer or transshipment in the quote.
RoRo vehicles are rolled onto and off the vessel; acceptance depends on the carrier’s vehicle and handling requirements. Container shipping involves loading and securing the vehicle inside a suitable container. Compare the complete cost, including transport to the departure point, handling, loading or securing, Nigerian clearance and collection or delivery.
A Canada-origin quote does not by itself establish a direct Canadian-port sailing. Review the proposed movement before committing to a vehicle purchase or delivery date. See our vehicle shipping service for the wider service scope.
Send the year, make, model, VIN, dimensions, condition and fuel or battery type. Include ownership documents available for review and disclose damage or a vehicle that does not run, steer or brake normally. EVs and non-running vehicles need a specific acceptance check.
Confirm Nigeria’s current import eligibility before shipping. Follow the selected carrier’s instructions for keys, fuel, battery condition and loose items. Do not place personal belongings in a RoRo vehicle unless expressly accepted; goods proposed for a container must also be declared and approved.
Pickup or receiving can be arranged across Canada. Montreal and Vancouver may be relevant to ocean planning; Toronto-area receiving and air-freight arrangements serve a different role. The cargo location, mode and available service determine the actual export gateway and any inland connection.
In Lagos, Lagos Port Complex at Apapa and Tin Can Island are ocean-port locations; Murtala Muhammed International Airport is an air gateway. These are route-planning references, not a promise that every service uses them. The quote should identify the actual port, airport or receiving warehouse and any onward movement.

Final delivery throughout Nigeria can be arranged, including onward transport after arrival and release. A quote ending at a Lagos port is not the same scope as delivery to a Lagos, Abuja or Port Harcourt address. Contact BriCargo with the actual address and access details.
Start document preparation before dispatch. Prepare accurate invoice and packing details, and confirm with the forwarder when draft and final transport documents, such as the bill of lading or air waybill, will be available. Document requirements and timing depend on the goods, mode and import arrangement.
The exporter provides accurate goods descriptions, values and classification information and checks whether an export declaration or permit is required. Where reporting applies, the Canadian Export Reporting System (CERS) is one available method. Using a service provider does not remove the exporter’s responsibility for complete, accurate and timely reporting. Check the CBSA exporter reporting guide.
The importer and appointed clearing agent should establish the applicable Form M, Pre-Arrival Assessment Report (PAAR), banking and clearance requirements before dispatch. For products covered by SONCAP, Nigeria’s conformity assessment programme, the Product Certificate is used for Form M and the SONCAP Certificate for PAAR and clearance. Confirm applicability and certification requirements before shipment. Goods exempt from SONCAP may still face other regulatory requirements.
Use the Nigerian Ports Authority import overview for context and SON’s SONCAP guidance for regulated products. Your importer or agent should confirm the current filing process and shipment-specific approvals.

BriCargo can coordinate with a licensed Nigerian destination partner. Customs authorities decide release and applicable assessments; forwarding or clearance service fees do not automatically include duties and taxes.
We review commercial freight and personal shipments, including household goods, boxes, barrels and parcels, for a suitable freight service. Describe the contents item by item: packaging does not determine whether goods can be accepted or imported.
Declare medicines, perishables, batteries, dangerous goods and other regulated products before booking. Acceptance depends on the mode, packaging, declarations, applicable permits and carrier approval. Firearms and illegal drugs are not accepted. Do not deliver restricted cargo for shipment until its requirements have been reviewed.
BriCargo Group is a Canadian freight forwarder coordinating international shipments, including the Canada-to-Nigeria route. Our role connects the cargo review and transport plan with documentation, carrier handling and the agreed destination arrangements.
We review your cargo enquiry and coordinate the agreed transport and destination services, including clearance and delivery through a licensed Nigerian partner where arranged. Your quote should identify the service scope and the responsibilities of the shipper and receiver.

See the cost examples and exclusions, then request a quote using your packed dimensions, weight, cargo details and both addresses.
Yes—request both options using the same packed cargo details and delivery endpoints. Availability and acceptance are checked for each option.
Ask your Nigerian importer or clearing agent to verify current import rules for the vehicle. BriCargo can coordinate a separate transport and carrier-acceptance check using its specifications. Complete both checks before buying.
Yes, these can be considered without booking a full container. We assess small shipments as freight enquiries: provide the contents, packed dimensions and weight, then confirm a suitable service and any minimum charge before sending them.
Payment responsibilities are agreed in the quote and shipping terms. If the receiver pays locally, share the itemized destination charges and calculation basis with them before booking.
